Best of Both Worlds
For those of you that bought a VItamix for all that it does "better", but wished you could also have the best Blendtec can do - This container is the answer. I had both a VM and a BT for about a week and put through many tests. I ended up with a VM due to it's better ability with nut butters and the fact it did other things as good, or at least close. The BT with this 5 sided jar was a winner for any vegetable, protein or fruit juicing. It just blends through without getting air pocket over blade, which stops the blending. The VM gets over this with a tamper. This Wild Side doesn't need one for the smoothies/juices. So now I use my VM jar for making peanut and almond butter and the Wildside for my daily smoothies. Thanks Blendtec and BlendingPro for allowing us to have the best of both worlds!
(** Please note that comparisons between these two machines lead to a coke/pepsi or chevy/ford type arguments. The above is merely my .02 cents)
This Jar Provides Fast and Safe Blending
Vitamix lost a patent infringement case because a federal judge found that they had willfully copied Blendtec's five sided jar. Vitamix had to pay $24 million dollars for their unethical conduct. I would be less concerned about Vitamix voiding your warrantee, and more concerned by the fact that Vitamix blades continue to crack and break. Vitamin just did another massive jar recall for that reason. So those who want a safe blade should consider this Blendtec jar.
Beware!
I never even used this container. I really wanted the extra capacity, but after speaking with Vitamix, decided not to give it a try. Vitamix told me using it would void my warrantee. Note, this container only has two blades whereas other containers made by Vitamix have four.
